Floyd County Food Pantry Sees Record Need; “Poorly Painted Pets” Fundraiser Set for Saturday

COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS BROUGHT TO YOU BY FLOYD COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER:

Jen Burton with the Floyd County Food Pantry and Jill Connell with SNAP join us to talk about growing food pantry needs during Hunger Action Month and ways the community can help. They also preview Saturday’s “Celebrity Poorly Painted Pets” fundraiser at Tellurian Brewing, where local “celebrity” painters will create pet portraits in exchange for pet food, litter or monetary donations.

The event runs Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Tellurian Brewing, with donations helping stock the pet food section at the Floyd County Food Pantry.
