Establishing Budget for New Chickasaw County Ambulance is Work in Progress

Chickasaw County is now down to less than one month in their effort to start a new public ambulance service.

In addition to acquiring ambulances, related equipment and supplies, Chickasaw County EMS Director Joel Knutson has been working to establish a budget for the brand new department.

That’s Knutson addressing the Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors during their regular meeting Nov. 28th when he also informed the Board of three new staff members who will be part-time until becoming full-timers on January 1st. 

While Knutson fine tunes his budget, Supervisors have set a public hearing for 9:15 a.m. on December 12th for a budget amendment to officially fund the new EMS department.
