28 Years Since Disappearance of Former North Iowa TV Anchor

Tuesday, June 27th marks 28 years since Jodi Huisentruit was abducted on her way to work at KIMT-V in Mason City. She has not been seen since that summer in 1995.

The Find Jodi team is asking people to leave a light on Tuesday to remember Jodi. The group also encourages using hashtags #LightsForJodi and #FindJodi on social media to help raise awareness online.

While Jodi’s friends and family mark another anniversary with no answers, they hope that, by turning on lights again this year, it will remind people that Jodi is still missing.

Earlier this year, the Jodi Huisentruit billboard in Mason City was renewed by a generous donor and will remain up for at least another year. The billboard is one of several media tools used by FindJodi since the nonprofit organization was created in 2003 by Austin, MN TV journalists, Josh Benson and Gary Peterson.

If you have any information or if you can remember any details related to the disappearance of Jodi Huisentruit, please call 641-999-1109 or email [email protected].
