Northeast Iowa Rainfall Totals Thursday (04.17) Night to Friday (04.18) Morning

Severe weather moved through north central and northeast Iowa early Friday (04.18)morning, with the first storms firing up around 3 am and second wave coming between 4:30 and 5:30 am.

Severe thunderstorms warnings were issued for several counties including Franklin, Butler, Floyd, Chickasaw, Fayette, Cerro Gordo, Worth, Mitchell, Howard and Bremer, among others.

The weather system brought wind gusts up to 60 mph and hail, ranging from quarter size to up to tennis ball-sized in Franklin County.
