City of Floyd Gets $25,000 State Grant for Pickleball Courts
The Iowa Economic Development Authority Board has approved a $25,000 Community Attractions and Tourism (CAT) grant to the City of Floyd to build two new pickleball courts in its existing city park.
Melissa Spurgin is chair of the CAT Committee.
Besides the CAT grant, $40,600 of the Floyd pickleball project will be paid for with private fundraising, $10,500 in other grants, $5000 from Floyd County, and $1000 from the City of Floyd.
Construction on the project is expected this summer.
