Sumner-Fredericksburg School Bond Referendum Info Meeting Wednesday (09.17)

Charles City isn’t the only area school district looking to pass a multi-million dollar bond referendum to help pay for building upgrades and improvements.
On November 4th, residents of the Sumner-Fredericksburg School District will vote on a general obligation bond issue not to exceed $16.25 million, which first-year Superintendent Ryan Cunningham says, if approved, would support critical facility enhancements in both communities.
Cunningham says the bond measure would also allow SFCSD to consolidate school operations to better meet the needs of students.
Cunningham says the upgrades and changes are not possible with current state school funding levels.
There will be a community meeting at 6 pm Wednesday (09.17) night in the S-F Middle School gymnasium to share more information and answer questions about the bond referendum. More information is also available at https://www.sfcsd-future.org.
Charles City School District voters will cast their ballots on November 4th a bond referendum of up to $30 million to make essential improvements to a high school building that was built some-65 years ago.
More info on that bond measure is available at www.charlescityschools.org.
