Two-Vehicle Head-On Collision in Northeast Iowa Claim Three Lives

Three people are dead after a two-vehicle collision Monday (01.19) afternoon in northeast Iowa.
The Iowa State Patrol (ISP) says the crash occurred at about 4 pm on Interstate 380 near mile marker 63, just southeast of Evansdale. 63-year-old Thomas Sidler of Robertsdale, Alabama, was driving a Ford F150 north when he crossed the median and crashed head-on with a southbound Toyota RAV4 driven by 68-year-old Judy Fisher of Cedar Rapids.
ISP says both vehicles came to rest in the travel portion of I-380’s southbound lanes, stopping traffic for around four hours. Both drivers and a passenger in the RAV4,45-year-old Jessica Fisher of Cedar Rapids, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their bodies were transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office, Gilbertville police and fire, Waterloo fire, Evansdale EMS, and Sheetz Towing assisted at the scene.
This accident remains under investigation.
