Floyd County Conservation Hosts Maple Syrup Fest Saturday (02.21)

Floyd County Conservation will host Maple Syrup Fest this weekend at the Tosanak Recreation Area near Marble Rock, serving pancakes and sausage.
That’s Naturalist Heidi Reams, who says breakfast will be served from 8 to 10:15 am Saturday (02.21) for $5.
Reams says, with the recent above average temperatures, they were able to tap trees for maple syrup last week.

Floyd County Conservation typically harvests close to 10,000 gallons of sap each season, which yields about 200 gallons of maple syrup.
